今天要介紹的詩人是來自美國的Lisa Olstein，曾有多本著作，如《Late Empire》(2017)、《Little Stranger 》(2013)、《Lost Alphabet》(2009)等。曾獲Hayden Carruth Award。現於德州大學奧斯汀分校教授寫作。有趣的是，這位詩人同時也為搖滾樂團Cold Satellite寫詞。
我在poets.org的poem-a-day計畫看見這個詩人，也和大家分享這個美國的詩網站，除了每日分享詩外，還有實體雜誌等推廣詩的活動。poem-a-day的計畫如同許多外國網站推廣文學的方式一樣，現在也包含了音檔，可以聽到實體念詩的聲音喔。
在這首詩裡有許多詭譎、美麗的意象，比方說一開頭，她描寫到一頭鹿把蛇當作一個袖子穿上，而牠的牙齒像是珍珠袖口。又或者她說：在薄霧中，人們（或男人）在那裡製造早晨。雖然在聽作者讀詩時節奏偏快，但其中卻有許多值得細細品味的句子，這些奇妙的意象也是使我愛上這首詩的原因之一。作者使用的形式也很特別，且恰當好處地引起語言之間的反思。以下為〈Fort Night〉這首詩，其餘就留給讀者繼續閱讀了。

puts on, its mouth
a beaded cuff
in the haze men
make of morning
with each release
